On Sunday 2 September, at our Zipline, the project ‘Art walks the mountains’ was presented, a contemporary art trail that will have its centre in the forest of Pian Cavallone, above Caprezzo.

The ‘Land Art’ project in the mountains was promoted by the Terre Alte Laghi Association in partnership with the Val Grande National Park and the municipality of Caprezzo.

The initiative could take off as early as 2019, the star area will be within the Park’s boundaries, along the ‘Alta Via del Lago Maggiore’ trekking route.

The ‘Land Art’ trail, which will be extended to link all 21 mountain municipalities belonging to Terre Alte Laghi, follows an international trend whereby renowned artists are invited to create and place their contemporary works in a natural setting. A first nucleus will be set up in the Pian Cavallone forest and will lead visitors through a walk of about two hours.
